Known for being the bedrock of the neighborhood it has served for generations, Hancock Park Elementary School will host a community event celebrating its international diversity on Saturday, October 5th from 11:30am-2:30pm.

The World Cultures & Community Festival is a family-friendly celebration, which is free and open to the public. The event features music, dance performances, a childrenÂ’s cultural parade, food for purchase from ethnically diverse food trucks, a LACMA-led art project and more.

Founded in 1937, Hancock Park Elementary School provides premiere public education to grades K-5 with the fundamental goal of “inspiring lifelong learners.” More than two-dozen languages are spoken at Hancock Park School, creating a unique environment where both families who have lived in the area for generations and families who are recent immigrants find a home and enjoy a quality education.

The school is located at Colgate Ave & Fairfax Ave – right behind Whole Foods at Fairfax and Third. The school community has requested relaxed street parking for Colgate & Drexel Avenues between Fairfax & Crescent Heights.

Please share with your friends and family and head on over to the Hancock Park Elementary School Campus for a fun afternoon!
