Latin Sounds features world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings at the Dorothy Collins Brown Amphitheater at LACMA, where you can enjoy open seating and picnicking on the grounds
This week, join us for a concert with Dayren Santamaria.
Born in Matanzas, Cuba, violinist and band leader Dayren Santamaria has performed at concert venues and festivals around the world. She has worked extensively with Oscar Hernandez, Jimmy Branley, Joey DeLeon, and also performs with Jose Rizo’s band Mongorama and Andy Garcia’s band CineSon All-Stars. She was a member of the National Symphony Orchestra of Havana and later, the concertmaster of the female ensemble Camerata Romeu, featured in the documentary film “Cuba Mia” (My Cuba).
Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served.
