Music: Latin Sounds – Ozomatli

May 25 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Opening this year’s Latin Sounds concert series, in celebration of the LACMA exhibition Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall is the multi Grammy Award winning group, Ozomatli.

If the city of Los Angeles had a soundtrack, it would be Ozomatli’s music. Since forming in 1995, the lineup’s collaborative, energetic blend of multicultural music and activism has ignited dancefloors everywhere. They are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and incorporating a wide array of musical styles—including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, hip hop, and more. The group has released seven acclaimed recordings and performs in various countries all over the world, including China, Tunisia, Jordan, Cuba, and Burma.

Arrive early and visit Painting in the River of Angels during Saturday’s museum hours, 10 am–7 pm as part of your regular ticketed admission to the museum.

Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served.
