About the Event
Interested in collecting art but don’t know where to begin? Curious about the evolution of the landscape of art collecting?
Join the Autry as we explore the Art of Collecting during the Masters of the American West weekend! The Art of Collecting panel discussion delves into the unique experiences of each art collector to explore the challenges, motivations and successes of collecting Western art.
From starting to collect to building on a current collection and more, the Art of Collecting panel discussion will dive not only into how the pursuit of collecting Western art has evolved and transformed but will also cover where it is headed next.
The panel will include notable collectors Donald Humphreys and Jim Parks (Autry trustee) and will be moderated by Beau Alexander of the Maxwell Alexander Gallery. Welcome remarks will be made by Stephen Aron, Autry Museum President and CEO.
