Two: The Ebell Chorale Spring Concert & Reception

May 19 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join The Ebell Chorale, one of the oldest women’s choirs in Los Angeles, for an afternoon of music and reflection at “Two: The Ebell Chorale Spring Concert & Reception.” Through a diverse array of choral works, “Two” explores the theme of duality and interconnectedness, featuring Lasso’s Echo Song, Purcell’s Sound the (Two) Trumpet(s), and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater Dolorosa, alongside with two contrasting renditions of love songs, one originating from Malaysia and another from Afghanistan.

These pieces are what lead to the American classic, Simple Gifts, culminating in Naverud’s Sisi Ni Moja (We are One). As a special treat, an encore performance will unite the audience and choir in a surprise selection followed by a reception. Don’t miss this extraordinary musical journey celebrating the profound connections between two souls, two communities, and two contrasting ideas.
