Brookside Celebrates 39th Annual Neighborhood Block Party

On Sunday more than 400 Brookside residents gathered for their 39th Annual block party, considered one the largest in the surrounding neighborhoods.

“This year’s block party was one of our best,”Brookside HOA Co-President Danny Gibson told the Buzz. “There was a lot of positive community energy, and everyone was genuinely happy to be with neighbors and friends. We were happy Council Member Ryu was able to come out again and judge the pie and water melon eating contest.”

“The theme this year was “We are all Brookside” in hopes of starting to bring the community back together after the continuous debate over zoning,” said Gibson.  “We are so happy so many came out to support Brookside, and to see people talking together who had differing views on the zoning issue. Thanks to the community for remembering, “We are all Brookside.” Also, a big thank you too all our corporate sponsors!!!”

Thanks to Gibson and Brookside resident Charlie Hess for sharing their photos of neighborhood merriment in Brookside.
