Los Angeles has a wealth of all forms of artistry. One outstanding form is its amazing collection of musicians who have come from all over the world bringing their creativity, ideas and talents. One form has been to create groups of chamber music.
Out of this, Chamber Music Los Angeles (CMLA) was created. This Sunday, CMLA, a collective of six acclaimed presenters will present Music Box LA 2022, celebrating the city’s vibrant music scene.
Established in 2017, the collective includes Camerata Pacifica, the Colburn School, Jacaranda Music, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), Pittance Chamber Music, and Salastina. Music Box LA is a concert celebrating LA’s chamber music scene that is carefully curated to show the diversity of this passionate and intimate form of classical music. Performers will take the audience on a journey through the centuries with chamber music that spans Baroque to the modern era, performed by celebrated artists and award-winning young musicians illustrating each organization’s individual approach to chamber music.
The Music Box LA will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Zipper Hall at the Colburn School in Downtown LA. Click on the video below to get a taste of what you will hear!
The program is dedicated to Warner Henry who founded CMLA. He and his wife Carol years ago were Windsor Square residents.
