Did You Miss the Debates? Here’s How to Catch Up

LA mayoral candidates Rick Caruso and Karen Bass faced off in a rare head-to-head debate last night. LA County sheriff candidates Alex Villanueva and Robert Luna also took the stage for their own debate.

With the fall election season heating up, and only a few weeks until election day, the candidates for Los Angeles mayor and LA County sheriff faced off in rare back-to-back debates last night. Both sessions, held to less than an hour each, included some contentious topics, including mayoral candidates Karen Bass and Rick Caruso sparring over homelessness and their respective ties to USC, and sheriff candidates Alex Villanueva and Robert Luna clashing over ethics, racism (particularly anti-African American sentiment in law enforcement), the LA Board of Supervisors, and more.  Both debates are still available if you missed them last night, or if you’d like to watch again.
