Nurse Vanessa Greene is back on Larchmont today offering free COVID testing. You can find her at the northwest corner of First Street and Larchmont Blvd., on the First Street side of the Chase Bank. Greene has been moving around a bit trying to find a location where people can spread out while they are waiting.
On Sunday, Greene tested more than 235 people. However, she told us, due to an increase in testing and a limited staff at the lab over the holiday week, it’s taking longer than 12 hours now to process the tests. So if you haven’t received results yet after being tested yesterday, Greene said the lab has promised to get them to people later today. And if you are testing today, results will be delivered within 24 hours of the taking the test.
“It’s not 12 hours, like we hoped, but it’s still better than many labs,” Greene told the Buzz this morning. And to expedite your test process, Greene suggests scanning the QR code on the sign below, and reading the directions. “It usually answers most questions.”
Greene and her assistant Emily Garwood will be testing today until 4:30 p.m. Greene said she is also planning to be there again tomorrow. And on Wednesday, Greene is moving to the Ebell of Los Angeles parking lot, where she will be located until Friday.
Finally, Greene said people can also get tested at the lab she works with – Firmalab, Inc. located at 870 Vine Street, LA 90038 – until 5 p.m. It’s the same test, also free.
