Congratulations to Hancock Park resident Caroline Styne , who was awarded the prestigious James Beard Foundation Outstanding Restaurateur earlier this week.
Styne’s restaurants include Lucques, a.o.c., Tavern, and others. She and her partner Suzanne Goin, James Beard Award-winning chef and Marlborough alumna, are considered among the best practitioners in the hospitality and food world. But Styne can also been seen on Larchmont with her family and supporting local causes like L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade, a fundraiser benefiting research for childhood cancer, which has raised more than $3.7 million since its inception in 2010.
But this latest accolade is perhaps the most prestigious, recognizing Styne’s efforts over the past 20 years. According to the James Beard Foundation, the award is given to a working restaurateur who sets high national standards in restaurant operations and entrepreneurship.
We are delighted to claim her as a neighbor and friend. Congratulations!
