Holey Grail Donuts, the Hawaii-based company known for its taro-based donuts, will be coming to the Wednesday Larchmont Farmers Market this Wednesday. As we reported last fall, Holey Grail Donuts will also be opening a new storefront on Larchmont in the Larchmont Mercantile, formerly the Lipson Building.
Holey Grail Donuts started with a food truck in Kauai, Hawaii. It now has several locations in Los Angeles, including Larchmont. When we visited the Holey Grail food truck at Platform in Culver City earlier this year, we saw how the donuts are made to order, offering a changing menu of donut options. We also learned the company is hoping to open its Larchmont shop later this spring, following the opening of its new Santa Monica location.
Once we noticed the truck was visiting local farmers markets, we kept checking in periodically to see if it had plans to come to Larchmont. At last, staff told us this week that they have worked out all the details and will be at the Wednesday Larchmont Farmers Market this week.
