Who knew? There are Raw Ciders, Hard Ciders, Bone Dry Ciders, and Sweet Ciders? Handcrafted, artisanal alcoholic ciders of every taste and color are going to be showcased at Raleigh Studios on Saturday, September 19 for the LA Cider Fest.

Organized by area, the LA Cider Fest will feature a section of “Tasting Pavilions” that are organized by types of ciders – be they deeply complex or simply raw. A second section called “Meet the Makers Cider & Beer Row” will give attendees an opportunity to meet the people behind the brews and ask questions, while the “Cider & Beer Galleries” will showcase foods that go with the unique beers and ciders at the show.

Organized by Hand Crafted Tasting Company and Half Pint Ciders, the LA Cider Fest is said to offer only small batch CA centric craft beers and the best of “true quality” ciders in over 50 carefully curated selections of best ciders, beers and meads (a fermented honey alcohol.)

Held outdoor on the Raleigh Studio lot at the corner of Melrose and Van Ness Ave,  the tickets allow for 2 1/2 hour of unlimited tastings and a complimentary souvenir tasting glass, in one of two sessions on Saturday, either 2-4:30 pm or 7-9:30 pm. Tickets range from $65-85 and do not include food. There are also “designated driver” tickets for $25 entrance fee and no alcohol.
