Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association Block Party is Saturday 1-5pm

The Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association (LVNA) Block Party is this Saturday from 1- 5pm on North Bronson Avenue between Clinton Street and Rosewood Avenue.  All residents of Larchmont Village from Arden Blvd. to Wilton Ave and Beverly Blvd. to Melrose Avenue are welcome to attend the potluck party. 

Thanks to the efforts of local residents, Bruce Walker, who had the idea of doing a block party and Adam Rubenstein, who’s done a lot of the organizing and promotion, the LVNA Block Party is shaping up nicely. Rubenstein, a four-year resident of Bronson Avenue,  told the Buzz he’s been enthusiastically working with local realtor Bruce Walker who has spearheaded a similar event for many years on Irving Blvd, to make this block party a festive, annual traditional like several others in nearby neighborhoods.  

It’s pot luck, so neighbors are highly encouraged to check in with Rubenstein about what they are bringing. To round out the food, Rubenstein has also secured donations from a host of local businesses in the Larchmont area including a giant stack of Good Karma certificates from Salt & Straw for a free ice cream,  gourmet donuts from Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts,  fruit salad from The Juices Fountain and items from Ramirez Authentic Foods, who recently started selling homemade Mexican salsas and churros at the Larchmont Village Farmers Market.

The LA Fire Department will be there with a truck, always a huge hit with kids of all ages, and Bruce Walker’s jam band, The Encroachments, will provide musical entertainment.
