Le Petit Marché Hoping to Reopen

Le Petit Marché is now shuttered but hopefully will reopen soon, owner Mathew Cape told the Buzz.

Restauranteur Mathew Cape is hoping to reopen Le Petite Marché, the French Restaurant and gourmet market at the top of Larchmont Blvd.  It’s been awhile since the restaurant closed for vacation in late August and the rumors have been swirling that it’s closed for good,  but owner Cape told the Buzz he’s hoping to reopen, perhaps as early as the next few weeks.

“We are working towards reopening this month. We have just signed a deal with a very well known chef/restaurateur to come in and manage the restaurant,” said Cape. “We look forward to serving the neighborhood for many years to come.”

The reopening would be good news to Le Petit Marché fans in the neighborhood. It took Cape a long time to open, no doubt adding to his costs, but many wish the restaurant success since it was a welcome addition to the neighborhood eateries.
