Friday was the last day for the no-appointment COVID PCR testing pop-up on Larchmont operated by nurse Vanessa Greene. It seems the demand for testing has slowed down, so she’s moving on…but there are still plenty of neighborhood testing options. On Larchmont, Firmalab at 516 N. Larchmont is open weekdays and doesn’t require appointments. It’s the lab that was processing Greene’s tests.
Also, Tuesday, February 1 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. the Ebell of Los Angeles is hosting West Coast Covid Testing, offering PCR tests with results available within 24-48 hours, as well as rapid antigen tests with results available between 1-4 hours. The testing site will be a drive-thru in the Ebell’s west parking lot, with entry at Wilshire and exit to 8th street. Look for the signs and arrows directing traffic.
Registration is recommended but they will always accommodate drive-ups, explained Sina Arhamsadr, a representative of the company. “We see patients of all ages and we try to make it light, efficient and fun, well, as fun as covid testing can be!” Arhamsadr told the Buzz.
We tested there last week and results were delivered within one hour for the rapid antigen and within 24 hours for the PCR, both negative! The staff administered the test using a wider nasal swab that didn’t go uncomfortably up the nose. Ebell staffers told the Buzz they are also investigating hosting a vaccine and testing site at some point soon.
All the testing is free and everyone is welcome. Click here to register or on the graphic below.

Thanks so much for providing the COVID testing info in the Buzz. It’s so helpful.
I used https://911covidtesting.com/ in Beverly Hills last week and they were great. My first test!
Keep up the great coverage!
