Rick Caruso, the man behind the popular shopping destination The Grove here in mid-Wilshire, is about to open his newest venture: a luxury apartment building designed with organic shapes to fit the odd-size lot on San Vicente Blvd with a Burton Way address.
In a story this week, LA Times describes 8500 Burton Way as both “swanky and laid back. ” Clad in white marble personally chosen by Caruso, the facility has a saltwater roof-top pool, a private ornamental garden for residents, and a Trader Joes at ground level that will shop and deliver to residents of the building who will be paying approximately $8/square foot for their luxury units. That means the cheapest  apartment, at $4,500/month rental, should have at least double the amenities of your average LA rental option.
