Max the Giant Tortoise has been in and out of the hospital in his battle against a bacterial infection that has specialty vets puzzled. Yesterday, we found Max at Harold Henry Park in Wilshire Village visiting with friends and neighbors.

“Max is home and is enjoying 2 trips to his favorite local park every morning and afternoon!” Kevin Proulx, Max’s human dad, told the Buzz. “His bacterial infection is still of serious concern so his medical team is keeping a close watch on Max through the daily pics and videos that we send.”
Proulx said that Max loves visitors, so he’s opening up TortoiseLand this weekend to visitors. You can email Proulx at [email protected] to find our when you can visit Max. You can also visit his YouTube channel and learn more about Max and help support the GoFundMe campaign set up by friends to help cover Max’s extensive medical bills.
