Thanks to Smithsonian Magazine you can take advantage of a special promotion that they are hosting this weekend – a national event called Museum Day! In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission every day, over 1500 participating museums across the county will open for free on Saturday, September 29.
In order to take advantage of this special opportunity locally, you must go online and get a free downloadable ticket. Bring that ticket to the museum of your choice and enjoy the day! Tickets are limited to one per household, and admits two people to one museum.
This sounds like a perfect way to stay local on Day 1 of Carmageddon 2! Here’s a list of some of the participating museums nearby…

About Mary
Mary has lived in the Hancock Park area for over 20 years - including homes in Larchmont Village and Windsor Square. Mary has lived in some great places in her life - but none compare to the convenience and majesty of our neighborhood. For Mary, the neighborhood has been a wonderful home to her large, extended family...at one time she had family members living on seven different Hancock Park area blocks! Larchmont Buzz is a labor of love - built to celebrate the neighborhood and to elevate the conversation in the area.
