Every March during Women’s History Month, Congressman Adam Schiff honors women from the 309th Congressional District who have improved the quality of life in our community. With new district lines, many of our neighborhoods including Hancock Park, Mid-Wilshire, Miracle Mile, Park La Brea, Larchmont Village and Windsor Village are now in Congressman Adam Schiff’s district. Last year, Congressman Schiff recognized fourteen outstanding women for their contributions to education, health, housing, homelessness, and arts initiatives in their communities. The 2022 honorees were Mariam Barnes (La Crescenta), Lucy Levinsohn Berman (Sunland), Nancy Beyda (Hollywood Hills), Ruth Cislowski (West Hollywood), Jennie Cook (Silver Lake), Becky Gelhaar (La Cañada Flintridge), Jackie Goldberg (Echo Park), Carmenita Helligar (Burbank), Dr. Irene Kim (Hollywood), Dr. Ramella Markarian (Glendale), Courtney Morris (Atwater Village), Patricia Peréz (Elysian Valley), Standolyn Robertson (Los Feliz), and Janice Segall (Pasadena).
