Rain is Coming – Turn off Your Sprinklers

Rain is coming! Save water and turn off your automatic sprinklers.

In preparation for rain later today and hopefully into tomorrow, consider turning off your automatic sprinklers. It’s a great way to save water and maximize the effect of the rain. In fact, some garden experts suggest we can keep our sprinklers off until the weather warms up and plants need water.

Some sprinkler timers have rain sensors that can automatically turn the system off.  But if yours don’t, or if you want to be sure the system is really off, you can just turn the program dial to “off.” The sprinklers will stay off until you turn the system back on. The systems are designed to store all the programming so it’s ready to go once you flip the switch back on.

Turning off your sprinklers is an easy way to help save water and it’s good for your garden. Go outside and do it now, before it starts raining!
