Fair organizers estimated ten thousand people came out on Sunday, Oct. 28th for the annual Larchmont Family Fair. It was a bright warm day, perfect California weather, and kids collided in their excitement to do everything possible while parents just tried to keep up, venturing between camels, bounce houses and food stands throughout the day.
Some highlights of the day’s activities:
- Singer Maggie Fitzgerald won over the judges and crowd with her singing in the Larchmont’s Got Talent Show sponsored by Coldwell Banker.
- Scott Mosenson wiped the cream off his face after winning the Pie Eating Contest sponsored by Hancock Homes in which he devoured a pie (pies provided by Betsy Malloy) in the record time of 2:58.
- Two kid goats were born to a mama goat around 5 pm in the Petting Zoo, much to the delight and surprise of the crowd. We have some great photos and the story as it unfolded from Wendy Gottlieb, owner of the goats.
