The Larchmont Family Fair is 10 Days Away!

The annual Larchmont Family Fair is happening in just 10 days away. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Larchmont Family Fair is back. Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 30, from 2-7 p.m. for the reboot of this beloved neighborhood tradition.

Members of the Larchmont Boulevard Association (LBA), organizer of the fair, have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on the Fair, which has been reinvented this year by longtime fair planner Betsy Malloy.

“We decided it was time to do something a little different,”  Malloy told the Buzz, “the pandemic has changed so much of our daily life, it seemed liked like a good opportunity to change up this local tradition and bring everyone together to celebrate our neighborhood. In addition to all the usual fun activities for kids, we are adding a some fun for adults.”

Fair Events: There will be two stages, one where composer and film producer Stephen Endelman has planned a concert featuring classic songs from the movies.  At the other end of the street, Cheri Moon, creator and founder of Snooknuk children’s play space, formerly on North Larchmont Blvd., has curated three fun-filled hours of diverse programming, offering something to delight kids and their parents from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  on the Children’s Stage.

Food: Come hungry and thirsty! This year’s Fair features a beer garden serving artisanal beers from a local family owned brewery. Local caterer, Jay Fagnano of Thrive Kitchen will bring his latest food concept Rack n’ roll ribs to the Fair. Esco’s Pizza, a huge hit from the Taste of Larchmont last month, will also be serving pizza by the slice. The Wilshire Rotary is making pretzels and Jeni’s Ice Cream will be offering free kids scoops to kids in costumes. Organizers are still waiting to hear back from other Larchmont’s eateries and vendors, so stay tuned!

Traffic: Larchmont Blvd will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m. so volunteers can set up the rides, booths and concert stages. The street will re-open around 9 p.m. after all the clean up is completed. Because of the Fair, there won’t be a Sunday Farmers Market that day, but you can shop the Wednesday market instead.

Tickets:  Tickets for the Fair’s rides and concerts can be bought online here and picked up at the Fair. Tickets will also be sold at the Fair. Ride tickets are $5 each, concert tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 14 and under. No tickets are required to enter the street, and all the programming on the Children’s Stage is free.

Sponsors: The Larchmont Boulevard Association, the association of business owners and professionals on the street, has organized the Larchmont Family Fair, with proceeds supporting the association’s costs for holiday events, security, landscaping and beautification on the street. Every year, neighbors and local businesses also help support the fair through sponsorships and ticket sales.
