Today in Local Coyote News…

Coyote at 5th and Rimpau on Sunday. (Photo by Steve Cohen.)

Village Pizzeria owner Steve Cohen sent us the above picture of a coyote taken at Fifth and Rimpau this past Sunday morning…which crossed our desk at almost exactly the same moment as some good, and quite universally applicable, information about coyotes from the Culver City Department of Animal Services (yes, Culver City apparently has coyotes, too).  We thought both were worth passing on.  (Please note, however, that coyote sightings in our Los Angeles neighborhoods should NOT be reported to the Culver City address on the fliers.  For coyote sightings closer to home, and further information on Los Angeles city policies regarding coyotes, see http://www.laanimalservices.com/about-animals/wildlife/ or http://clkrep.lacity.org/onlinedocs/2016/16-0585_rpt_DAS_06-24-2016.pdf )
