Tortoiseland Tortoise Sanctuary Holding Virtual Fundraiser

Tortoiseland, our local tortoise sanctuary, invites you to a virtual holiday party and fundraiser on Sunday from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m.

Tomorrow, our very own local tortoise sanctuaryTortoiseLand, is holding its very first annual Holiday end-of-year party and fundraiser Sunday, December 18, from 12 noon to 3:30 pm.  You can meet all 38 tortoises and meet and enjoy the music of the talented Billy Joseph & the Army of Love, longstanding supporters of Tortoiseland. Click here to join the live stream and support the work of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit tortoise rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and education center, right here in our neighborhood.

“TortoiseLand is hoping to raise $10,000 Dollars by midnight of December 31, 2022,” TortoiseLand CEO & local resident Kevin Proulx told the Buzz. “All the proceeds support the care and feeding of our growing tortoise population. Please join us on this livestream event and ask your friends and family to do the same. And you can really help TortoiseLand by posting the lives streaming link on your social media.”

You can make a donation online here. Or, if you prefer, you can make a 100 % tax deductible donation the old fashioned way with a check, payable to “TortoiseLand” and mailed to TortoiseLand, care of  Kevin M. Proulx, at 911 S. Lucerne Blvd, LA 90019.
