Tuesday is the Last Day to Request a Ballot for Neighborhood Council Elections

Tuesday, March 9 is the last day to request a ballot for the upcoming GWNC election.

Tuesday is the last to request a ballot for the neighborhood council elections coming up on March 16 (both the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council and the Mid City West Community Council).

You can request a ballot online here through the city’s online portal. For more information on GWNC ballots, visit the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council website. As we reported last week, City election staff are available to answer your questions by email at [email protected] or by phone at (213) 978-0444.

Everyone who will be age 18 by March 16 and lives, works, or owns property in the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council area is eligible to vote for one of the 15 area representatives on the GWNC board. And many voters are entitled to two ballots; one for the area where they live, work or rent, and one for one of the five special interest seats representing Renters, Businesses, Non-Profit, Religious, and Education organizations, or the At Large representative.

In the last election, voting was held in person. But this year, due to the pandemic, all voting is vote-by-mail, which should make it easier for everyone to vote, once you get a ballot.
