Two Libraries Hosting Sales this Saturday

A sale at the Wilshire Branch Library on St. Andrews Place.

Two local libraries are hosting sales this weekend. A great place to find gifts for the holidays, gently-used books are one thing even children can afford when looking to buy something for their parents, grandparents or siblings.

The Friends of Wilshire Branch Library (149 St Andrews Place at Council St.) are having a Book & Bake Sale on Saturday, Dec 15 , 12pm-3pm. The sale will be hosted in the Secret Garden if weather is good, or in the community room if it isn’t. All proceeds will go to programs at the library, and also be put toward purchasing a projector for future ‘movie nights’ at the library. The Friends of Wilshire Branch are also looking for new members – inquire at the library or sale. Donations of books in sellable condition are also accepted, but please not during the sale itself.

The Friends of Memorial Branch Library (4625 W. Olympic Bl at Muirfield) is having their Book and Community Arts & Crafts Bazaar this Saturday, Dec 15, from 11am-4pm. In addition to offering books and baked goods, this sale will also have outside vendors selling antiques, art, clothing, knitted goods, cards, decorations, jewelry, toys and plants. A one-stop shop for the holidays.
