Wilshire Pothole Repair Work Scheduled

On Wednesday evening, Councilman Tom La Bonge’s office announced at the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council Meeting that the pothole repair work planned for Wilshire Boulevard will take place in the next couple of weeks, most likely over the weekend of May 19-20. The pothole repair work will include both sides of Wilshire between Fairfax Avenue and Wilton Avenue.

Approval for the funds for this repair work – $6,558 – were secured by Councilman La Bonge on March 30th.

The City is not spending the money on a permanent solution because this stretch of Wilshire is due to be torn up in the tunneling work that will be done to extend the Metro Purple Line from Western and Wilshire to La Cienega and Wilshire.  That work is projected to start early next year (2013).
