Founders of YOUBE, the coworking space, have closed their Larchmont location, though their West Adams location is open. The company’s founders told the Buzz they were disappointed to close the Larchmont and Melrose location just as they were starting to gain some momentum, but the additional round of investment they were seeking did not materialize.
YOUBE opened last March, offering an affordable drop-in work space option. At the time, co-founder Jenny Berglund Castro told the Buzz the average cost to work in the space was about $6 per hour. Now, according to the company’s website, they have options for as low as $2.50 per hour. Clients can download the YOUBE app to buy credits and book space by the hour. YOUBE offers the option of a desk, a shared table, a small meeting room, or a pod offering complete quiet. Credits are valid for thirty days.
The West Adams location is at 5335 West Adams Blvd. The space is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. Click here to learn more about that location.
