The Academy of Motion Pictures has announced their summer lineup for OSCARS OUTDOORS, the new outdoor venue where blankets on lush grass, picnics at the ready, and award-winning movies projected on a massive screen will be a welcome addition to summer entertainment for area locals.

The season will kick off with Casablanca (1942) on June 15th, followed by the 1937 version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Should more modern-day fair be to your liking, the Academy will also feature Raising Arizona, Dreamgirls and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off later in the season. The full schedule of screenings is available from the Academy of Motion Pictures website.

The key is to buy tickets ahead of time as these events will certainly be sold out. Tickets for the first screening go on sale tomorrow, June 1st  via email or snail mail. Click on over to the Oscars.org to get yours: $5/person or $3/children.

Roaming Hunger will see that food trucks are cooking up some hot grub for attendees. No word on if wine and beer will be allowed on site so take your chances in bringing a bottle.
