Armed Robbery on Larchmont Monday Night

Crime-2

LAPD Wilshire Division responded to an armed robbery on Larchmont Blvd at First Street on Monday night at approximately 9:15 pm. Evidently a victim on the sidewalk was approached by a suspect with a handgun while a second accomplice waited in a car on the street. The LAPD is still investigating and would not confirm further details by telephone this morning, but twitter account @LAScanner reported last night that a Louis Vuitton wallet was stolen. The suspects are believed to have fled south in a car.

We’ll use this opportunity to remind local residents that the Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association (LVNA) is holding their annual meeting tonight and officers from LAPD will be present. The more neighbors are connected the better protected we all are in the long run.

Editor’s Note: A resident of Sycamore Square reports that there were two armed hold-ups in that neighborhood last week, and in both cases cell phones were taken.
