Be Alert: Multiple Reports of Lewd Conduct

On Sunday, August 12th at 9a, a female Windsor Square jogger was the victim of an act of Lewd Conduct.  Although she is not an SSA client, she did contact the on duty SSA Officer to ask that he report the information to SSA clients and other neighbors.

According to the SSA report, the incident occurred while the victim was jogging on Irving, between Beverly and 3rd Street.  She described the suspect as a male Hispanic (no further details) who was driving a gray, beat-up Honda Accord. The suspect began by following the victim in his car. He drove up alongside the victim and asked for directions. The victim responded with the directions and continued her jogging. The suspect continued following the victim and at that point the victim became aware that the suspect was committing a lewd act. The suspect drove off. The victim was unable to get the license plate number of the vehicle.

SSA Security followed through on the victim’s request to get information out to the neighborhood about this incident by sending out an email alert to their clients and asking for them to share with neighbors. The email chain turned up other incidents of what appears to be this same individual exposing himself to other females in the neighborhood.

• Wednesday, August 8th around 6a – reportedly seen along 5th Street, between Rossmore and Muirfield.
• Tuesday, August 14th – reportedly seen along 4th Street (cross street not specified).  Thought it was an old model Jeep Cherokee.

There’s no proof that this is the same individual, although it does seem likely.

If you happen to see this person committing lewd acts, please make safety your paramount concern. If you can get a license plate number, that will help police locate the suspect. Please report to both LAPD and SSA – it’s important to report all crime to the LAPD so that they can connect similar crimes and assign personnel to areas experiencing higher incidents of crime.
