LA High Neighborhood Shut Down Friday

Two individuals, one a 17 year old student, were shot outside LA High School at approximately 3 pm on Friday afternoon just as school was ending for the day and students were leaving campus. The incident closed down Olympic Blvd and much of the surrounding neighborhoods for two hours while traffic was redirected through side streets to Wilshire and Pico, and helicopters hovered in search of suspects. Much of the activity centered at Olympic and Rimpau, but the two suspects apprehended were caught at Olympic and Vermont. A third suspect is still being sought and the shooting is believed to be gang related, according to LAPD Officer Ruben Gonzales.
