Clark Street Coming to Larchmont

Clark Street has leased 139 1/2 N. Larchmont and will open a bakery and cafe in April 2022.

Clark Street bread and bakery is coming to 139 1/2 N. Larchmont this spring, in the space formerly occupied by Uncool Burgers.

We got a chance to chat with owner Zack Hall this morning, who told us that Larchmont’s one of his favorite parts of the city.

“We always wanted to open here,” said Hall. He plans to open a bakery and cafe patterned after his two other locations in Echo Park and Brentwood in April of next year.  “We will be serving breakfast and lunch; it will be a place where you can buy bread, pastry, and coffee. We will also have a dry larder with some merchandise, just like our other locations,” Hall said.

It all looks so good!  We couldn’t pick just one image, so here’s a screenshot from the Clark Street Bread Instagram.

According to the company’s website, “Clark Street was founded in 2014 by Zack Hall out of his apartment in West Hollywood, CA. After spending the summer at his wife’s family’s town working in a wood-fired bakery in the Swedish countryside and falling in love with the craft, Hall returned home to become a full-time bread baker.”

Hall’s first location was a spot in Grand Central Market. He now has four additional locations:  Echo Park, Brentwood, the Clark Street Coffee Shop at 1115 Sunset, and the Clark Street Diner in the former 101 Coffee Shop at 6145 Franklin.
