
According to Eater LA, AOC Wine Bar, the favorite small-plate spot on Third, is set to move from its current location near Crescent Heights further west on Third to the  Il Covo space near Cedars Sinai Hospital. Suzanne Goin, owner and chef of AOC, also operates Lucques, Tavern and the Larder.

The Mexican hipster joint Tinga at 142 S La Brea is offering up an homage to the Grilled Cheese Night at now-closed Campanile. Tinga’s Thursday Quesadilla Nights will offer new-fangled creations such as Pastrami-dilla (pastrami, chayote, cheese) and BMQ (Nueske bacon, black bean, and mushrooms.)

David Reiss, who brought us Swingers and is owner of two Venice eateries Sunny Spot and The Brig, is expected to open a new restaurant called Little Fork at 1600 Wilcox Ave, between Sunset and Hollywood. The new enterprise will be mainly a small plates dining experience, may be open as early as mid-January and will have about 120 seats, with about 20 of them outside. “We like that it’s right in the middle of all the madness, but on a fairly quiet corner,” Reiss’s business partner Paul Pruitt told Grubstreet LA. Thanks for the update. Could you please not use the word “hipster” in your writing? It gives me intellectual nausea. In describing the Mexican restaurant with the word, do you mean to communicate young, trendy, white people instead of poor Latinos? Food for thought.
