In case you need another good reason to eat ice cream this month, Salt & Straw, 240 N. Larchmont Blvd., announced it will give the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank one pint of its Thanksgiving flavored ice cream for every pint sold in their shops through November 23.

Salt & Straw’s Thanksgiving flavors are inspired by classic Thanksgiving dishes Sweet Potato Casserole with Maple Pecans, Spiced Goat Cheese and Pumpkin Pie, Buttered Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, California Acorn & Chestnut Stuffing, and Salted Caramel Turkey (which, yes, does contain real turkey, in brittle form, according to Salt & Straw).

So you can assuage your caloric guilt knowing you are supporting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Enjoy!
