Art Project Los Angeles will feature live and silent art auctions next weekend featuring a bevy of artists including Plastic Jesus, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Donald Sultan, Elizabeth Tobias, Bambi, David Hockney, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, and Jillian Kogan, among others.  The event and auction of over 150 pieces of artwork will benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles and their Health and Wellness Program.

The event, Saturday June 6th will be held at Bonhams,the privately owned British auction house at 7601 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, beginning at 6pm. Tickets are just $50 – all of which is fully transferrable to any bid during the live or silent auctions. Those wanting to preview the artwork can attend public viewings on Friday June 5 from 12 – 5pm, and Saturday from 10 – 4pm. Note, the Haring, Hockney and Warhol pieces are in the live auction beginning at 6pm on Saturday.

Proceeds from Art Project Los Angeles support a variety of vital services that APLA and APLA Health & Wellness provide to over 11,000 Angelenos every year, including: primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care services; HIV testing and STD screening; the Vance North Necessities of Life Program food pantries; in-home health services; housing assistance; and HIV prevention efforts; among many others.
