Editor’s Note: When she prepared this story for us, writer Sheila Tepper said, “I keep thinking of those dollar seats and remembering my son as a senior in high school taking his bicycle and riding there. The famous Hollywood Bowl is about to open and it celebrates being here for 100 years!
How lucky we are.
In our backyard we have one of the world’s largest natural amphitheaters in the world, seating nearly 18,000 people, one of the world’s outstanding music and artistic directors Gustavo Dudamel, and one of the most lauded Philharmonics. We also have the 100-year celebration bringing us the finest artists from all genres of music, well loved classics and new thrills for us. Plus more $1 seats for Tuesday and Thursday classical presentations and Wednesday jazz nights, located at the top of the Bowl.
