Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at Chevalier’s Books

Chevalier’s Books is celebrating Independent Bookstore Day this Saturday.

Saturday is Independent Bookstore Day and Chevalier’s Books is celebrating its longevity as the the oldest independent bookstore in the city with some fun events.

“We’re excited to celebrate 10 years of Independent Bookstore Day here at Chevalier’s!” manager Katie Orphan told the Buzz. “It’s a big party day in the neighborhood, and we hope that everyone will join us. We are excited to have several local authors joining us,  including Steph Cha, Nikki Erlick and Michelle Latiolais.”

Chevalier’s will also have special treats for shoppers, like signed copies of Pure Color by Seila Heti, free Heartstopper and House in the Cerulean Sea stickers, a limited number of Lowly Worm dolls, Independent Bookstore Day tote bags and more, as shown below. Be sure to stop in early while supplies last!

In addition, Libro.fm (the indie alternative to Audible) is offering incredible audio books on sale to celebrate IBD, so if you haven’t already signed up for an account (with Chevalier’s as your bookstore of choice, naturally!) Saturday is a great time to do it!

Libro.fm is and a great way to get your audiobooks and support independent bookstores at the same time. Click here to view all the titles on sale to celebrate this weekend.
