On Thursday, May 31st, the entire Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Dentistry staff will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Larchmont’s Little Free Library, which the office opened in 2013. Celebrations will begin around 11:00 a.m. at the Little Free Library, just outside Dr. Kezian’s office – 443 North Larchmont Boulevard (southwest corner of Larchmont Boulevard and Rosewood).
Community members are invited to share in the festivities, and to take note of several recent upgrades Dr. Kezian has made. For example, in addition to placing a new doggy-station right next to the library this year, the tree outside Dr. Kezian’s office has been illuminated in the evening with twinkling lights. The lights are not only beautiful, but they increase nighttime safety in the area, and also make it easier to browse the library’s book titles after dark. Also on Thursday evening, Trina Turk will preview its latest swimwear collection, a collaboration with Disney’s Incredibles 2 animated feature, which opens in theaters June 15. The collection features the red and white colorway of the Incredibles, with bathing suits and active wear jumpsuits for men and women. Owner, designer and founders Trina and Jonathan Turk will be on hand for the celebratory launch at the Larchmont store on Thursday, May 31 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, along with dignitaries from Disney. The store is located at 212 N. Larchmont. Rosé and bites will be served, and there will be a photo booth for your own instagrammable moments.
This Saturday, June 2, Knowles Karate Academy, 4378 W. 3rd St., will celebrate its second anniversary. To help thank the community for its support of the business, the Knowles owners will be holding a party and potluck lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. “It’s been 2 years since we opened our doors,” write the Knowles owners, Michael and Kathy on their website, “and we invite you to come celebrate with us the beginning of another amazing one! All students past and present are welcomed to join in the festivities. It’s a potluck so please bring a favorite dish to share, preferably something you love to make and enjoy.
