Larchmont Buzz Local Birding Meetup – Saturday, December 4

We spotted this Cooper’s hawk (left) in our backyard earlier this summer and these Western Bluebirds on a walk in September.   Join us Saturday and learn more about these incredible creatures and how we can support our urban wildlife.

Curious about hawks and wildlife in your neighborhood and how to get started with backyard birding?

We are totally into  birds and bees. We invite you to join the Larchmont Buzz for our first ever Birding Meetup with special guest Nurit Katz, Chief Sustainability Officer for UCLA and Outreach Coordinator for the LA Raptor Study.

Meet us at Harold Henry Park on Saturday, December 4 at 9 a.m.  We will learn about local birds and how you can contribute to community science. Bring binoculars and wear comfortable walking shoes for our walk around the nearby neighborhood.

It’s free and all ages are welcome! (Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)  Masks preferred. Please RSVP here so we can plan.

This Cooper’s Hawk is a frequent visitor to our front yard.
