Listen to Art at LACMA’s Muse ‘Til Midnight

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) continues to come up with fascinating ways to bring in a younger, hipper crowd to view the museum’s collections. This weekend LACMA’s Muse program, geared to 20 and 30 somethings, is taking away the quiet usually associated with viewing art, and replacing it with the vibrancy of music.

The sonic adventure promised by LACMA will take place in seven modern and contemporary galleries at LACMA with tailor-made soundtracks performed or arranged by various DJs and musicians.  The Saturday night event will run from 8:30 pm – 12:30 am and tickets are $20 for Muse Members, $30 for  LACMA members and $40/non-members. Includes two drink tickets! More information and tickets can be found at LACMA online at Listen to Art, or purchased at the box office on the night of the event. A live performance by the band Geographer will take place out near the Urban Light installation on Wilshire Blvd.

Sure to be a new way to experience art, the next question is “will it also make you want to dance?”
