Sponsored Post: Michael and Dr. Michelle Golland believe in bringing art and awareness to the Greater Larchmont area. Each year around this time, the couple selects an organization or cause they want to share with the community. They also select a local artist who they want to support in their art career. Then they celebrate these neighborhood treasures at a fun party at the Larchmont Lofts on the corner of Melrose Avenue and Larchmont Boulevard.

The Gollands choose to honor the Lapidus’ at  their event on Saturday, November 1. Eric & Audrey Lapidus live in the neighborhood and are parents to Sadie and Calvin. When their son Calvin was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins 2 years ago they began a painful journey filled with confusion and helplessness. They inspire so many people with their tenacity and dedication to helping their son and others struck by Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. The Lapidus’ will be celebrated for their incredible fortitude as individuals, as a couple and as parents. It is also an opportunity for Erik and Audrey to thank all of the people who have supported the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation.

The evening will center around the work of artist Rima Muna. Muna will donate 15% of art sales to Pitt Hopkins that night!

It sounds like a fun event full of discovery and great neighborhood support. If you have an early dinner on Melrose or North Larchmont, you can just walk on over to The Loft and enjoy a great date night.
