The Marlborough Student Charitable Fund (MSCF) is a student-initiated philanthropic organization, established and run by students from the Marlborough School. The Fund strives to allow students the opportunity to serve the needs of underprivileged women and girls in Los Angeles by furthering their educational opportunities in a variety of ways. The Fund works closely with small organizations, assesses their needs, and provides grants to help them meet those needs.

This coming Sunday, the MSCF group puts on their annual fundraiser called ‘Fashion Through Music’. The event takes place at Avalon Hollywood and features a silent auction and a music inspired fashion show. Students design fashion and celebrity judges – including Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Warm Bodies), Ahna O’Reilly (The Help), George Kotsiopoulos (Fashion Police), and Brad Goreski (Good Morning America) – will pick their favorites. Tunes will be supplied by Max Schneider and the band 21st Century.

The fundraiser is open to all. All funds raised go towards supporting the organizations backed by the Marlborough Student Charitable Fund.

Tickets are $45, $65 and $95 and can be purchased at www.MarlboroughSchool.org.  Or you can donate to the MSCF by clicking on this link to their donation page…here.

Mary has lived in some great places in her life - but none compare to the convenience and majesty of our neighborhood. For Mary, the neighborhood has been a wonderful home to her large, extended family...at one time she had family members living on seven different Hancock Park area blocks! Larchmont Buzz is a labor of love - built to celebrate the neighborhood and to elevate the conversation in the area.
