Greg Wittmann, the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council’s representative from the Western-Wilton (We-Wil) neighborhood, invites you to join him this coming Sunday, May 19th, for a Walk and Talk to explore the streets of the vibrant We-Wil area (bordered by Wilshire, Western, 3rd and Wilton). The discussion will include information about the area’s history, architecture and people…and ideas for improving the neighborhood, which will be shared with the GWNC.
Greg obviously has a great sense of humor…his flyer includes a scavenger hunt for the walk that highlights the great assets of the Western-Wilton area south of 3rd…along with some of the not-so-great assets. One of the goals for the afternoon is to encourage area residents to recognize that there are things they can do to improve the quality of life and take ownership of their streets. Sounds like something everyone can support!
Western-Wilton Walk + Talk Sunday, May 19th 2p-3:30p Meet at 2:00 at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church parking lot on the southeast corner of Wilton and 3rd. For more information or to RSVP, please e-mail [email protected] or text (814) 323-3892  Â
Enticing write-up. See you Sunday!
