
The Purple Line, our future “subway to the sea”, has been under study for the past four years and last week METRO released a massive number of reports as part of the final EIR (Environmental Impact Report) on such specifics as neighborhood impact, traffic, noise and vibration, and future station circulation. Now available online, residents who live near the future line or its stations are encouraged to look over the reports and attend the following meeting:
Stakeholders near the future stations located at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega are especially encouraged to attend. Building on the Purple Line will begin in 2014, though residents will note digging in the area has already begun for testing.
