Pancake Breakfast to Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Fire Station 29

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our very own Fire Station 29 with an old-fashioned pancake breakfast co-sponsored by FIRST-IN FIRE FOUNDATION, “Friends of the Fire Department & Fire Service,” Los Angeles Fire Department Historical Society & Museum, and Windsor Square Association, in cooperation with the Los Angeles Fire Department and with Battalion 11.

The celebration is Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. at Fire Station 29 at 4029 Wilshire Boulevard, corner of Van Ness Ave.  It will include the unveiling of Firehouse Flags, a demonstration of emergency preparedness and pet preparedness with Gabriel, the Giant Schnauzer; a presentation of the Women’s Fire Brigade of 1910 and a special presentation of the Firehouse Centennial Garden and Landscape Restoration plans.

Honored guests include Councilmember Tom LaBonge, CD4, The Honorable Board of Fire Commissioners for the LA Fire Department, Fire Chief Brian Cummings, LAFD and Assistant  Chief Ralph Terrazas, LAFD.
