Serving Pancakes at Wilshire Crest Elementary School

Families enjoy short stacks of pancakes at Wilshire Crest Pancake Breakfast

Early risers who attended the Community Pancake Breakfast at Wilshire Crest Elementary School were greeted by the Buzz’s Co-Publisher Liz Fuller, who sent us these photos. There’s nothing like an old-fashioned pancake breakfast to build community and carbo-load for the day.

Parent association volunteers served up the pancake breakfast intended to welcome local families to meet school staff, families, and fellow PTA members, and learn about the school’s Spanish-English Dual Language Program (now enrolling for Kindergarten and first grade next year).  The $3 admission ticket got visitors a short stack of pancakes and helped support Wilshire Crest’s garden education program, provided by the Garden School Foundation.
