Snooknuk is Coming Back to Larchmont for the Larchmont Family Fair

Snooknuk creator Cheri Moon is coming back to Larchmont for the Larchmont Family Fair.

Snooknuk is coming back to Larchmont for the Larchmont Family Fair on Sunday, October 30. Creator Cheri Moon will be bringing her Snooknuk magic to the Children’s Stage at the Fair where she will curate three fun-filled hours of diverse programming, offering something to delight kids and their parents from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are delighted to have Cheri, who is generously helping program three full hours of fun family entertainment on the Children’s Stage,” said Betsy Malloy, Larchmont Family Fair Chair. Malloy, who has planned the Larchmont Family Fairs for the past decade pre-COVID, is also a seasoned mom and grandmother and told the Buzz she wanted to make sure there was plenty of activity for children and their parents to enjoy in addition to the usual inflatables and rides.

“I am thrilled to be back on Larchmont,” Moon told the Buzz. “I’m so happy the Larchmont Fair is all coming together! I’m excited about the talent I’ve secured so far for the Children’s Stage and potentially a few more that would really make it even more EPIC! These artists below are already confirmed!”

Broadway Babies is already confirmed to perform at the Larchmont Family Fair.

When they had kids and couldn’t find a music class, former Broadway performers Leah Sprecher and Nicole Mangi created Broadway Babies. It’s their way to to channel their love of old-timey musicals, vaudeville, and slap-stick humor into an interactive song and dance extravaganza designed to engage kids musical theatre. Kids are encouraged to sing along and explore fun movement.

Kymberly Stewart

Kymberly Stewart, a GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, musician, actress, producer, and early childhood music educator, will also perform. Her music promotes positivity and celebrates childhood, and offers a fun music experience that the entire family can enjoy together.

Kymberly is a also a collaborator with Cheri on their GRAMMY-Award-winning album “All One Tribe” by 1Tribe Collective, selected for Best Children’s Album.  The collective’s compilation album contains 25 songs that celebrate the rich diversity of black culture and promotes positive self imaging for children. The album received a mention by The New York Times and appeared in Bill Board magazine. Kymberly has performed at Brentwood Country Mart in Santa Monica, Fort Green Park in Brooklyn, NY, and at numerous community events through out the greater Los Angeles area.

D.J. Princess Ellie will be helping Moon keep the Children’s Stage lively and fun in between sets.

And, finally, to keep everything going, even in between sets and special events like the costume parade, pumpkin decorating and other fun events, DJ Princess Ellie, will fill in with music and dance. Ekaette Ellie Shammah, stage name Princess Ellie, is an author and performer who performs with her group of kid and adult hip hop dancers.

Meanwhile, Moon has also contacted Bob Baker Marionettes and Jim Henson Studios. She’s even working on getting a Robot Puppet that can create balloon animals!

Stay tuned to the Buzz for more updates on all the performers coming to the Children’s Stage for the Fair.
