According to the LACMA website, visitors of all ages are invited to a free day at LACMA on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. There are bilingual tours, free programs, art-making activities, and live music by Ernie Andrews at 12:30 pm and 2:45 pm. Andrews pays tribute to the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in this special concert. For more than sixty years, Andrews has been thrilling audiences around the globe with hits he recorded with such giants as Harry James, Cannonball Adderley, Gene Harris, and Ray Brown.
A free, general admission ticket required and does not include admission to Stanley Kubrick or Bodies and Shadows: Caravaggio and His Legacy. Admission is usually $15 for adults.
To ensure a safe and pleasant visitor experience, tickets to the Boone Children’s Gallery on Target Free Holiday Monday will be timed and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick up your free, timed ticket in the Boone Children’s Gallery on the day of the event. Timed tickets allow for a thirty-minute visit.
