Just back from New Orleans where I thought about “home” in so many different ways. New Orleans was my mother Janet’s birth place and for that reason it and its food has always held a special place in my family. Connected with a dear old friend over lunch at Commanders Palace which was a home, now turned restaurant. Toured the lower 9th ward for the first time post-Katrina and saw the rebuild efforts underway by Brad Pitt’s Make it Right and many, many others. Even drove past the home of THE most enthusiastic LSU fan which just might put a Trojan to shame.
Perhaps you will find your home today in Hancock Park or just be inspired! Here’s a list to make sure you see it all.
